Have you ever installed baseboards or other narrow wooden profiles? Then you have certainly noticed the markings on the back: Information on make, batch, notes on the direction of installation etc. All in all, very important information that can prove even to a layman that he has exactly the article in his hand that he ordered. But if you take a closer look at such a wooden strip, you will notice that the space to be printed is very small. Because nobody wants to have printed visible surfaces. With the mobile as well as stationary DOD marking systems, as we presented them in our last two blog entries, you won't get anywhere here. Even labels or stickers are rather a hindrance for later use.
